The Kapralova collection comprises of items donated to the museum by Kapralova's mother Viktorie (1957, 1959), Kapralova's husband Jiri Mucha (1988), Kapralova's friends Ota Vach and Hanus Weigl (early 1990s), Kapralova's friend Libuse Houzvickova-Kucerova, and Eva Maternova. It contains the following materials:

Bohuslav Martinu Papers
- Letters from Bohuslav Martinu to Vitezslava Kapralova, 1938-9 (G149): originally 33 letters, total of 35 leaves
- String Quartet No.5
[A29.759]. The original autograph sketch shows an inscription to Vitezslava Kapralova. The 12 pp manuscript contains a number of whimsical cartoons in the composer's hand expressing his thoughts about Kapralova.

[A29.760]. The autograph piano reduction shows an inscription to Vitezslava Kapralova. The manuscript contains notes in the composer's handwriting expressing his thoughts about Kapralova.

Vaclav Kapral Papers were donated to the museum in 1959 by Kapral's wife Viktorie.
